Superior Security
Independent testing shows that these hardwood doors provide superior intruder protection with locks that outperform others in tests. Solidor doors are fitted with an ABS Master lock and the UK’s most secure locking system, the Ultion lock, which engages a hidden lock in the event of an attack. This means that even after snapping the lock, intruders cannot enter. You can have peace of mind knowing that your composite door features locking systems that are insurance and Police-approved and meet the highest specifications available in the UK.
Thermal efficiency
As well as having an insulating solid timber core that is 10% thicker than other composite doors on the market, Solidor doors feature double and triple glazed energy efficient glass. These units are argon-filled and have a Low E coating which helps to maximise the thermal efficiency of the door by deflecting cold air and retaining warmth. Only sustainably sourced timber is used in the construction of these doors. They are formed from several layers of carefully selected wood with the robust outer shell providing strength while the inner timber core provides superior insulation. This level of thermal efficiency exceeds building regulations.

The PVC outer skin of these timber composite doors provides a secure and weather-resistant layer that protects it against British weather conditions. The tough 1.7mm thick ABS skin is scratch-resistant thanks to the Thru-Colour Technology used to create it. This means that the outer skin of a Solidor composite door is vacuum-formed and made of one colour, not painted. This adds to the durability of the door meaning it will retain its good looks for years to come, without fading or leaving white scratch marks.
